In 2001 the Tahitian dance company Orihere Maohi, directed by Turere Mata’oa, graciously invited the American dance company KaUaTuahine to join them in a week-long dance intensive. In 2002 KaUaTuahine, under the direction of Mahealani Uchiyama, journeyed to the islands of Tahiti. This film chronicles their journey and showcases KaUaTuahine performing on location on the island of Mo’orea. Winner of “Grand Festival Award”, Berkeley Film Festival 2002.
