'O Hawai'i 'Aina Aloha
by Randy Ngum
'O Hawai'i 'aina aloha
Mai ke kai aia i uka e
Ke kula loa e mai ka 'ilima
Ka'i ana ke aloha no na po'e, ea
E mau ka hana o na kupuna
Ki'e aku la 'ike ao hou
Ka hana pono i ha'awi 'ia
I ka ha mai ke kumu
I ka wai ola ea
Ka leo nui hali'a i ke ahe
Mai ka piko no nei 'aina
I ke alaka'i ana 'ia Kahiki
Hu a'e ke aloha
Kahea ia ka lani
Me ke kai i ka 'aina aloha
Hanau 'ia Ka Lei Kauikaumauma
He mele no Ka Lei Kauikaumauma
There is a deep love for our land, Hawai'i
From the sea to the uplands
To the long plains that bring forth the 'ilima blossoms
Love is brought forth to her people.
Long live the deeds of our ancestors
As we look to a new light
Good works are passed on;
The breath of life from the source
And the water of life.
Booming voice carried by the gentle breeze
From our family to this land
The pathway that leads to the heavens above
Overflowing with love
A call is made to the heavens
And to the sea, and the land we love
Born is Ka Lei Kauikaumauma
